Lido contributors fund ValOS validator operations framework
Lido DAO contributors are funding ValOS (Validator Operations Standard), a community-driven framework intended to raise the bar for secure, resilient and verifiable Ethereum validator operations. LEGO approved $75,200 (DAI) over six months — 50% to commence work and 50% released on successful delivery of the Assurance Upgrade, subject to the Lido DAO NOM workstream review, with additional funding of 60k following evaluation of early assurance test cases.
- ValOS builds on the foundations of DUCK, an open initiative that produced a Risk Framework, a Mitigation & Controls Library and related tooling
- The framework draws on expertise across staking operations, risk management, security and infrastructure
- The goal is a recognised assurance and risk management standard usable in audits, assurance reviews and industry-wide validator standards
- For node operators it offers a transparent way to demonstrate risk awareness, operational maturity and security discipline
