HashPort completes Japan's first convenience-store stablecoin payment at Lawson on Polygon
HashPort completed Japan's first convenience-store stablecoin payment at a POS register, demonstrated at Lawson. Shoppers showed a barcode from the HashPort Wallet to pay with JPYC, settled on Polygon in real time. The settlement chain's fees are a fraction of a cent, positioning Polygon as the default rail for moving the yen onchain.
