Ethereum developers propose quantum-resistant staking upgrade

Ethereum developers have put forward a draft proposal as the first step toward hardening ETH staking against quantum attacks. The plan would let validators deposit with quantum-resistant keys and then permanently stop accepting the key format the network uses today, effectively transitioning the validator set to post-quantum cryptography over time.
The draft outlines an incremental path rather than a forced migration, letting the current format be phased out as validators rotate in with new keys. No timeline has been set for implementation.
