WormholeWormhole brings Hyperliquid's $HYPE to Solana, Base, and Unichain
Hyperliquid's native token $HYPE is now multichain: Wormhole's Native Token Transfers (NTT) standard has brought the asset to Solana, Base, and Unichain, letting holders hold and trade it beyond Hyperliquid's own network.
- The expansion targets liquidity fragmentation and aims to give HYPE holders faster, lower-cost access across chains.
- Wormhole announced the rollout on its official account, confirming a native (non-wrapped) deployment of the token on the three chains.
Wormhole
Wormhole Network is a generic message passing protocol connecting high value blockchains together, with applications leveraging the the core messaging layer to facilitate interoperability between ecosystems. Secured by 19 guardians, developers are able to leverage the protocol to send arbitrary data cross-chain including tokens, NFTs, oracle data, governance decisions and more. Recent implementations of Wormhole include the Portal and NFT bridge, allowing for seamless asset transfers across supported chains. Currently connected to Solana, Terra, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche and Oasis, its design also allows for fast consensus, easily extensible and upgradable design to connect to more chains allows developers to build on top of Wormhole easily.
