WormholeHyperliquid's $HYPE goes multichain via Wormhole NTT
Hyperliquid's native asset, $HYPE, is now multichain on Solana, Base, and Unichain, connected by Wormhole's Native Token Transfers (NTT). Holders can hold and trade $HYPE directly on each network without wrapped assets or liquidity pools.
- The move follows Uniswap Labs and the Uniswap Foundation's earlier partnership with Wormhole to bring $SOL and $HYPE to Unichain.
- NTT keeps a unified token standard across chains, letting the asset move natively between networks.
- Wormhole announced the launch on its official account, alongside its blog post on the integration.
Wormhole
Wormhole Network is a generic message passing protocol connecting high value blockchains together, with applications leveraging the the core messaging layer to facilitate interoperability between ecosystems. Secured by 19 guardians, developers are able to leverage the protocol to send arbitrary data cross-chain including tokens, NFTs, oracle data, governance decisions and more. Recent implementations of Wormhole include the Portal and NFT bridge, allowing for seamless asset transfers across supported chains. Currently connected to Solana, Terra, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche and Oasis, its design also allows for fast consensus, easily extensible and upgradable design to connect to more chains allows developers to build on top of Wormhole easily.
