BALANCE Token Auction Opens on Uniswap Web App

The BALANCE token auction is now open, with 24 hours for users to submit bids directly from the Uniswap Web App. The sale runs through Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction (CCA) mechanism, which discovers a market price through competitive bidding and automatically seeds a v4 pool with proceeds.

BALANCE is the token behind Jack Butcher's artwork project — an onchain piece with "liquid provenance" built from burnable credits. Per Butcher, the initial supply is auctioned via the Uniswap CCA, he bought back 1% of max supply on the open market, and all auction funds go to providing liquidity for the artwork rather than to the creator.
