Symbiosis moves to block funds tied to Binance security incident

Symbiosis said it identified attempts to move funds linked to the recent Binance security incident through its bridge-and-swap protocol and is working to stop them, adding that it is in contact with Binance. The team noted that Symbiosis is a decentralised protocol and that handling such transfers is "new territory" for it.

The statement follows the record ~$6.3B theft from Binance, the largest crypto hack on record, which analytics firms have attributed to a North Korean hacking group. Symbiosis's post signals that intermediaries and protocols are actively tracking and trying to freeze or block the stolen funds as they move across chains.
