SwissBorg has joined the Eurøpe Consortium, a coalition of European companies organized around EURØP, the MiCA-compliant euro stablecoin issued by Schuman Financial. Announcing the move on X, SwissBorg noted that roughly 99% of stablecoin value is still dollar-denominated and argued that on-chain wealth should be manageable in users' own currency.
- The consortium groups European digital-finance firms — including Schuman Financial, eToro and DFNS — behind a regulated, euro-denominated stablecoin alternative
- SwissBorg already lists EURØP in its app; consortium membership extends that support to the ecosystem level, alongside the platform's 12-fiat on/off-ramps
- In a follow-up post, SwissBorg pitched Smart Cash to EURØP holders: opting in earns monthly BORG loyalty rewards on stablecoins with no lock-ups
