SuperRare launches Chat with DMs and invite-only group chats

SuperRare has launched Chat, bringing conversation about art directly onto the platform alongside the works. The feature adds DMs and invite-only group chats for both artists and collectors, announced via SuperRare's official X account on Tuesday, October 20 with the message that "the conversation around the art finally lives next to it," and detailed in a follow-up Substack post, "Chat is now live on SuperRare". A follow-up "ICYMI" reminder reiterated that users can open Chat from their account menu to connect directly through DMs or start invite-only group chats.

Jon Perkins (@rareperkins) shared the launch, saying the team had wanted to add Chat for a long time and that it felt like a natural next step after the drop calendar and user posts.
