StarkWare demonstrated a phone signing a transaction on Starknet testnet using ML-DSA (Module-Lattice-Based Digital Signature Algorithm), the lattice-based post-quantum signature standardized by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST FIPS 204).
- The demo shows post-quantum account signing running on ordinary mobile hardware on Starknet's testnet.
- It extends StarkWare's quantum-resilience work, which so far has centered on hash-based/STARK cryptography, including the quantum-safe Bitcoin spend demonstrated on mainnet in August.
- Starknet has published a roadmap for moving its own surfaces to post-quantum primitives, with a Quantum Hub tracking migration status.
