SafeLabs' Policy Engine for Safe Pro is coming soon: teams write treasury rules into their Safe account and a contract enforces them on every transaction — "a transaction outside policy will not execute, however many signers approve it." At @summit_defi, @Shebitweet from Safe Research demoed the engine's deny-by-default model — anything not explicitly allowed is blocked — and the code is open source.
Planned at launch: recipient allowlists, spending limits, app allowlists, and time-delayed authority changes. The engine is in final testing, with design partners getting early testnet access and helping decide which templates ship first, per the intro post. Safe amplified the announcement on X, alongside observer @rsquare, who framed the Policy Engine as one of two new onchain products from Safe — alongside Safenet.
