Sony's Soneium is now built on OP Enterprise
Optimism has confirmed that Soneium, Sony's blockchain, is now supported by OP Enterprise, its offering for enterprise chain operations. Optimism is handling Soneium's day-to-day chain operations, including deployment, sequencing, monitoring, and upgrades, as the chain brings tokenized IP and onchain entertainment to life on the network.
The move formalizes Optimism's operational role for the Sony Block Solutions Labs L2, which previously joined the Superchain as an OP Stack–based Ethereum L2. This expands that relationship into Optimism-run infrastructure support for the entertainment-focused chain.
