OKX launches Shield protection program across Europe
OKX has launched OKX Shield across Europe, a protection program billed as the region's new standard for crypto customer safeguards. Shield offers compensation up to €100,000, rising to €500,000 for VIPs — framed as added protection on top of the exchange's existing security measures.
- OKX says Europe is moving more of its crypto to the exchange, so it is giving every account more ways to stay secure, including up to €500,000 of added protection with Shield
- Account holders are urged to check their Shield coverage and activate it
- The rollout is offered by OKX Europe Ltd, authorised by the MFSA, and carries the standard disclaimer that crypto is volatile and investors can lose everything they put in
