Metis warns users of phishing emails impersonating the project
Metis issued a security notice warning that phishing emails impersonating Metis are in circulation. The team stressed that Metis does not solicit individuals by email and urged users not to click links or connect their wallets in response to such messages.
- Several users reported receiving "HR emails" supposedly from the Metis team, which Metis' ElenaCryptoChic reiterated the project does not send — Metis does not solicit candidates or individuals by email
- Recipients unsure about a message should verify through Metis' official channels (metis.io) rather than any links in the email
- The warning follows Metis' recent deadline communications (the Oct 23 Stargate cutoff and Oct 30 LayerZero migration) that scammers could be exploiting
