Vitalik Buterin has published Snowmoon, a 32-chapter sci-fi novel built around zero-knowledge proofs, quadratic voting, and a decentralized city-state at war with a surveillance empire. The ~103,000-word book was handwritten by Buterin, with AI used only for proofreading and formatting.
The work is released under GPL v3, so anyone may adapt it into film, animation, or other derivative works — provided the entire production pipeline, including AI prompts and scripts, is also open-sourced. KuCoin amplified the release via its official X feed, directing followers to the book.
