Kraken brings Unified Wallet to EEA clients

Kraken has rolled out Unified Wallet to EEA clients on Kraken Pro, announced October 16, 2026. The feature pools spot, margin, Earn, and futures balances into one shared source of collateral, so users can trade futures without transferring funds between wallets.

• More than 40 cryptocurrencies plus USD, EUR, and gold (XAU) can serve as futures collateral, each valued at a collateral ratio tied to its liquidity
• Unrealized P&L on margin and futures positions can count as margin for other trades; cross margin is default, with isolated margin available for linear Multi-M futures
• Enabling it is a self-serve switch in account settings on web and mobile; users can revert to separate wallets anytime while holding no open derivatives positions
• Kraken warns that in cross margin mode, a losing futures position can draw on the entire eligible balance, unlike separate wallets
