First legally weighted agreement between AI agents announced

Kleros co-founder Federico Ast announced what he calls the first agreement between AI agents with legal weight, building on cryptographer Ian Grigg's Ricardian contract concept. The announcement positions the milestone as the culmination of the Agentic Commerce Court, where two agents negotiate, sign a contract and pay by milestone, with the first case already ruled.

Agent-on-agent disputes are decided by agent jurors, and rulings remain appealable to human juror panels. Shoda Network and ClawBank have been the early drivers of this agent-commerce push.
