Glamsterdam Hoodi activation postponed, new date pending

The Ethereum Foundation's Glamsterdam network upgrade activated on Sepolia at epoch 353,024 — slot 11,296,768 — on October 6, adding blocks built without trusted relays via enshrined proposer-builder separation (ePBS), plus block-level access lists and gas repricing inherited from Fusaka.

The Hoodi testnet activation, previously scheduled for October 26 at 17:42:48 UTC (epoch 132,352), has now been postponed with no new date set, according to an Ethereum blog update that supersedes the earlier Hoodi schedule and activation instructions. A mainnet date was already pending separately.

• Breaking change for app developers: gas repricing removes the fixed maximum gas ceiling, so wallets, indexers, and gas estimators assuming a hardcapped limit must be updated
• Client teams had already shipped fork support, including Geth v1.17.6; the EF's Platåberget testnet served as an early public testing ground for the combined Gloas and Amsterdam upgrades
