Circle Foundation announced its inaugural domestic CDFI grants to Accion Opportunity Fund and Pacific Community Ventures, two mission-driven lenders using AI-enabled infrastructure to expand access to capital for underserved small business owners. The Accion Opportunity Fund grant supports Credit Compass 2.0, a tool that helps owners gauge loan eligibility and take steps toward capital, while the Pacific Community Ventures grant funds the Radiant Data Hub, an AI-enabled platform for data governance, predictive modeling, and impact reporting for community lenders.
Circle says the grants reflect its financial-inclusion approach: investing in systems that help lenders reach further, improve decisioning, and demonstrate impact. The announcement came during Circle's UNGA week in New York, which Circle wrapped with a recap of its activities: hosting the Atlantic Council Africa Center for a discussion on digital dollars and financial access across Africa, joining the Clinton Global Initiative, and reaffirming the Circle Foundation's UNHCR commitment alongside conversations on expanding financial access across Africa.
