Circle and identity company Proof are pairing agent identity with agent payments, which Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire framed as "Know Your Agent" coming online — x401 agent identity proofs alongside x402 agent payments as a step toward safer and more trustworthy agentic economic activity. The two companies are showing the flow live at Money20/20 in Las Vegas (booth 5069): an agent proving who it acts on behalf of via a verified Proof credential (x401) and paying in USDC (x402) through a Circle Agent Wallet in one exchange.
