BitGo and 12+ issuers migrate $15B in assets to Chainlink CCIP
BitGo (NYSE: BTGO) is migrating its $7.7B+ Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) from its legacy bridging provider to Chainlink CCIP, naming CCIP its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure after a rigorous security review. Chainlink says this will standardize WBTC and all future BitGo-issued assets on a single institutional-grade interoperability layer.
Chainlink separately confirmed that 12+ leading asset issuers and DeFi protocols representing $15 billion in total asset value are now officially migrating to CCIP, citing the market's demand for a higher security standard.
