NEC explores biometric-verified stablecoin payments on Avalanche
NEC, a global biometric identity leader with 1,000+ systems deployed in 70+ countries, is exploring combining identity verification and stablecoin payments in a single approval on Avalanche. Per the announcement, NEC signed a memorandum of understanding with Ava Labs to explore biometric-verified onchain services, beginning with a jointly published whitepaper proposing to verify a payer's face and settle a stablecoin payment in one step — without putting biometric data on-chain.
