Anichess sets September 7 deadline for M8 migration to Base

Anichess is moving its on-chain points M8 from Abstract to Base, with the in-game migration banner open now. EVM-wallet users tick the opt-in box and save, while Abstract Global Wallet users enter a destination Base address; claims must be completed by September 7, 23:59 UTC. Portable config supports the in-game wallet and migration for all profile types.

Every 100 M8 on Abstract becomes 1 M8 on Base, and all in-game cosmetics and unlocked spells migrate with it. Anyone who misses the window gets one more month to open a Discord ticket for manual migration. Season progress carries over, with ratings likely soft-reset rather than wiped.

Anichess launches drag & drop feature

Anichess has enabled drag & drop interactions in the game, announced via its official X account. The feature lets players drag and drop game elements directly rather than clicking, part of the game's ongoing UI and controls updates as its season and events progress.

Anichess launches Spellstorm and Gambit Gauntlet events

Anichess announced two new between-season events. Spellstorm runs Wednesday for two hours with free entry, where the game picks your spells each match, offering a 2,000 $CHECK prize pool.

Gambit Gauntlet debuts Friday 21:00 HKT / 13:00 UTC as a 24-hour event with a dedicated leaderboard, and the platform fee is cut from 15% to 8% for it. In the first Gauntlet, every match earns 50 points and a 3-win streak adds 50 more; when the clock runs out, the top 30 players split 10,000 $CHECK. Buy-in is 50 $CHECK per match.

Anichess also published a dedicated tournament rules and regulations page covering official event conduct, scoring, and FAQs for players entering its Gauntlet and Spellstorm competitions.

Anichess adds event pre-registration on website

Anichess now lets players pre-register for upcoming game events directly on its website, ahead of the announcement. The feature appears tied to the game's between-season events and its planned return to Base, giving players a way to sign up in advance.

  • Pre-registration is live now via the Anichess website
  • Works alongside the game's current events, including the M8 migration and Spellstorm/Gambit Gauntlet windows
