Vitalik Buterin and Nico demoed Kohaku's privacy features running in the Ambire Wallet at Devcon Mumbai on Tuesday, November 3, with 0xPrivacyPools and TornadoCash built in. Team member 0xSuperKalo confirmed the session, posting that Kohaku was demoed with private sends built into the wallet, which Ambire's official X account retweeted.
The demo is the high point of Ambire's privacy push along the Kohaku (Ethereum Foundation) line of work, following earlier previews of shielded pools built into the wallet. Following the demo, RAILGUN posted that Kohaku is "arriving in a wallet near you" — a message Ambire amplified. A KOHAKU UPDATE from casiojapi says users can shield assets in one tap inside the wallet, listing 0xPrivacyPools, Tornado Cash, and Railgun as supported protocols with Ambire as the wallet integration. No rollout timeline for the privacy features was shared.
