Ambire published a governance proposal to replace its two-token staking setup with a single standalone $stkWALLET contract, retiring the legacy $xWALLET token for good. Today staking runs through $xWALLET's pool-share model — roughly 1 $xWALLET ≈ 21 $WALLET, making balances hard to read — and the current $stkWALLET is a wrapper on top of it, not a replacement.
The plan covers deploying the new contract, migrating all staked balances from both $xWALLET and $stkWALLET with a one-click migration from the token page in Ambire Wallet, and retiring $xWALLET once migration completes. Terms stay the same: 2% APY, full voting power for $stkWALLET, reduced Swap & Bridge fees, a 30-day leave period, and instant (rage) leave at a 50% exit fee.
