AaveAave unfreezes markets after Binance wallet incident
After a temporary precautionary freeze, Aave has unfrozen all markets across V3 and V4 following a potential incident affecting Binance-affiliated wallets. Aave has reiterated that its contracts were unaffected by the incident and that positions remained overcollateralized throughout the pause, which halted new deposits and borrows while withdrawals and repayments continued as normal.
As a continued precaution, USDT, USDC, USDT0, POL, WAVAX, sAVAX, XAUT, PAXG, and OP will temporarily remain at an LTV of 0, so they cannot be used as collateral for new borrows. Aave says it will keep monitoring the situation and restore full collateral support once it can confirm conditions are safe.
