ENSv2 launches on Ethereum mainnet

October 28, 2026

1inch amplified the launch of ENSv2, the next-generation Ethereum Name Service protocol, now live on Ethereum mainnet (October 27). The upgrade introduces a hierarchical registry that lets each name run an independent subname registry, plus finer-grained permissions so multiple parties can jointly manage a namespace.

Launched alongside a new version of the ENS App and ENS Explorer; existing ENS names stay valid and eligible .eth names can opt into v2
ENS says 40+ teams completed v2 integration, including 1inch, MetaMask, Safe, Aragon, and Arbitrum
1inch shared the announcement via retweet, backing the protocol upgrade
