Gridex

Gridex is the first fully on-chain order book trading protocol for the Ethereum ecosystem.

Gridex provides a way forward for on-chain order books — providing a novel and simple solution. Gridex has abandoned the traditional CLOB model and matching engine, replacing it with our novel order book model: the Grid Maker Order Book (GMOB).

Building on the GMOB model, Gridex has also created the Grid Price Linear Movement (GPLM) algorithm to handle the execution and settlement of trades. The GPLM algorithm’s beauty lies in its simplicity — it is as simple as the Constant Function Market Maker (CFMM) algorithm of AMMs, while maintaining the same resource consumption as the CFMM algorithm.

Gridex is more than an on-chain order book protocol however, with Gridex PoS — our Layer 0 — slated for mainnet launch in 21 2024, Gridex will go cross-chain and allow decentralized order book trading on all mainstream L1s and L2s. This is when the GDX token, currently being airdropped to users trading on the protocol, will become the native token to the GDX chain and will be used for staking and validating blocks.
