Router Protocol's community has officially voted to sunset Router Chain, marking a strategic pivot toward the Open Graph Architecture (OGA) for onchain liquidity infrastructure.
Immediate Actions:
- Inflation set to 0% - no new ROUTE tokens will be minted
- Undelegation period reduced to 1 day for faster exits
- Foundation delegations moving to foundation validators within 72 hours
For ROUTE Holders:
- Unstaked tokens: Bridge to Ethereum via Nitro App immediately
- Staked tokens: Wait 24 hours for undelegation proposal, then undelegate in 1 day
Transition Timeline:
- End of September: Complete undelegations
- Mid-October: Bridging pauses, exchanges halt deposits/withdrawals
- Late October: Balance snapshot, airdrop to Ethereum addresses, Router Chain closes
For Validators:
- Claim rewards before October sunset
- Foundation delegations will be automatically removed
- Sunset Router Chain nodes during transition
The shift enables Router to focus on OGA's scalable infrastructure for both retail and institutional users. The team will provide migration support throughout the process.
