Onyx has launched its Points system on the Goliath Layer 1 network, consolidating previously fragmented incentive mechanisms across multiple layers. The migration aims to simplify tracking and improve integration with core staking systems.

Key Changes:

  • Points now focus on four assets: ETH, USDC, XCN, and STXCN
  • Each asset receives equal 25% allocation from 5M daily points
  • Previous 10M daily points split between XCN stakers and Ledger participants has been restructured
  • 5M points now dedicated to Layer 1 Goliath environment
  • XCN staker allocation remains unchanged

How It Works: Rewards distribute proportionally based on user stake within each asset pool. For example, holding 10% of enrolled XCN earns 10% of that category's points allocation.

Existing users retain all previously earned points. Participation continues through smart contract enrollment with off-chain signature authentication.

Onyx Points Season 3 Launches on Layer 1 with New Reward Structure

Onyx Points has migrated to Onyx Layer 1, introducing Season 3 with a simplified rewards framework. The system incentivizes liquidity through passive rewards distributed across three whitelisted assets: - **stXCN**: 50% allocation - **USDC**: 25% allocation - **ETH**: 25% allocation Season 3 begins at Block 10,500,000 on Chain ID 327. Points are represented as NFT-based positions tied to participating wallets, providing verifiable ownership. Rewards distribute proportionally based on each participant's share of the enrolled asset pool. The system operates through finite "Seasons" defined by predetermined block heights for predictable emissions. Future seasons will expand earning opportunities through decentralized applications, allowing users to earn additional rewards by providing liquidity and interacting with supported protocols. Existing participants retain all previously earned points from earlier seasons. Users can enroll their wallets and start earning by holding approved assets on Onyx Layer 1.

Onyx Partners with Thirdweb to Integrate Developer Tools into Goliath Layer 1

Onyx has partnered with Thirdweb to bring native infrastructure support to its Goliath Layer 1 blockchain. **Key Infrastructure Components:** - Dedicated RPC endpoints for reliable, low-latency dApp interactions - Comprehensive APIs to simplify development and reduce complexity - Advanced indexing services for real-time and historical data queries **Account Abstraction Features:** - Gasless transactions and improved user experience - Custom authentication mechanisms - Enhanced security and wallet recovery options **Onyx Wallet Integration:** The partnership enables full compatibility with Onyx Wallet, offering streamlined onboarding, secure interactions, and direct access to Goliath-based applications. This collaboration builds on Onyx's recent wallet redesign, which introduced integrated governance, native staking, and Goliath support. The integration positions Goliath as a developer-friendly Layer 1 solution by combining scalable backend services with user-centric wallet capabilities.

Onyx Launches Goliath Mainnet with Liquid Staking and Cross-Chain Bridge

Onyx has launched Goliath, transitioning from testnet to a production-ready network. The release integrates several key features directly into the Onyx App at [app.onyx.org](https://app.onyx.org): **Key Features Now Live:** - **Liquid staking** for XCN with automatic reward accrual - **Native bridge** enabling XCN transfers between Ethereum (ERC-20) and Goliath - **Token swapping** for XCN, ETH, and USDC on Goliath network Goliath uses asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (aBFT) consensus, providing high throughput and deterministic finality. The network targets real-world applications including cross-border payments, decentralized governance, and supply chain verification. The platform complements the existing Ethereum-based XCN token, which remains the default alongside Goliath. Documentation is available at [goliath.net](https://goliath.net).

Onyx Goliath Testnet Launches Liquid Staking and Opens External Validator Onboarding

The Onyx Goliath Testnet has released major updates across its infrastructure, introducing **liquid staking** functionality and opening **external validator onboarding** for the first time. **Key Updates:** - **Liquid Staking Live**: Users can now stake XCN with a 25.02% net APY through the stXCN token at [slingshot.goliath.net/#/yield](https://slingshot.goliath.net/#/yield). Rewards accrue automatically without requiring claim transactions. - **Ethereum Sepolia Integration**: Users can stake on Ethereum Sepolia and migrate to Goliath through an automated flow. XCN is now bridgeable between Sepolia (ERC20) and Goliath (native token). - **Enhanced Telegram Faucet**: The bot now supports expanded asset distribution including Sepolia XCN minting and staking via simple commands at [t.me/GoliathFaucetBot](https://t.me/GoliathFaucetBot). - **Validator Decentralization**: The network added its 6th consensus node—the first running on separate infrastructure. External validators can now join incrementally as the network scales. These updates expand Goliath's cross-network interoperability and staking capabilities ahead of mainnet launch. Users experiencing issues can report them in the official [Telegram group](https://t.me/Onyx).
