Obol Network has introduced the Techne Credential Program, designed to assess and confirm the knowledge of individuals interested in running Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) nodes on the network. Successful completion of the program is expected to increase the chances of being proposed for onboarding to the mainnet Lido Simple DVT, with many credential holders already proposed and more expected after the next testnet.

Lido Introduces Real-Time Transparency for EarnETH Vault Allocations

Lido has made all EarnETH vault allocations fully transparent with real-time monitoring capabilities. Users can now track exactly where their ETH is deployed, eliminating the traditional "black box" approach to DeFi yields. **Key Features:** - Real-time visibility into all vault allocations - First-loss protection backed by Lido DAO treasury - Accepts ETH, WETH, (w)stETH, and existing Lido Earn tokens - Daily auto-compounded rewards from leading Ethereum protocols The transparency update applies to Lido's restructured vault system, which now consists of two core products: EarnETH and EarnUSD. Since launching in September 2025, these vaults have attracted over $250M in deposits. Users holding positions in the previous vaults (GGV, stRATEGY, and DVV) can migrate to the new system following [migration instructions](https://help.lido.fi/en/articles/14038885-upgrading-to-lido-earn-metavaults). Lido Proposes Identified DVT Clusters for Community Staking Module

Lido has introduced a proposal to bring **Identified DVT Clusters (IDVTC)** to its Community Staking Module, targeting a Q2/Q3 2026 release with CSM v3. **Key Features:** - 4 operators using Obol or SSV Network to co-run validators - **1.5 ETH bond** for first validator, 0.5 ETH thereafter - 0.375/0.125 ETH average per cluster member - Up to **3.1x capital efficiency** vs solo staking - Up to 40 keys with deposit priority The proposal builds on SimpleDVT's success, with **20% of CSM validators** now using DVT after nearly 2 years. By end of 2025, 22,233 validators ran on DVT, representing ~1.99% of total Ethereum stake. IDVTC aims to lower capital barriers while offering potentially higher rewards than ICS on bonds above 2.5 ETH, furthering resilience across Lido's permissionless validator set. 馃敀 Lido CSM Experiences Minor Slashing Event, Protocol Operates Normally

On March 13, 2026, at 20:38 UTC, Lido DAO contributors identified a limited slashing incident involving a Node Operator in the permissionless Community Staking Module (CSM). **Key Points:** - The protocol continues to function normally with no impact on stakers - Total penalties estimated at less than 1 ETH (below average daily reward variance) - Node Operator bond mechanism successfully covered all penalties as designed - This safeguard system worked exactly as intended to protect stakers The incident demonstrates the effectiveness of Lido's built-in protection mechanisms. The Node Operator's bond absorbed the minimal penalties, ensuring no impact on stETH holders or the broader protocol.
