Moonwell Activates Multichain Governance and Native WELL Token on Base Network
🗳️ Stake WELL, Govern Moonwell
Moonwell has successfully executed MIP-B16, enabling staking rewards for the Base Safety Module. This allows users to stake their WELL tokens and participate in governance on the Base network. Previously, Moonwell activated its new multichain governor and introduced a native WELL token, facilitating cross-chain governance and staking. Users can now easily migrate their existing WELL tokens to the new native token and stake them to earn rewards while shaping Moonwell's future through voting. Additionally, a new WETH/WELL liquidity pool has been created on Aerodrome, with incentives transitioning from the existing pool.
The voting periods for MIP-M20 and MIP-R14 have closed. ✅ Both proposals have passed successfully and have entered the 24-hour timelock. 🗳 Vote Results: moonwell.fi/governance

Safety Module Rewards Issue on BaseMoonwell Under Investigation
BaseMoonwell contributors are investigating a rewards distribution anomaly following MIP-X28 implementation. **Key points**: - Some stakers received higher rewards than intended - Staked WELL tokens remain secure - Only Ecosystem Reserve's claimable WELL rewards affected - Maximum impact limited to few weeks of rewards The team will share detailed impact assessment soon and work with Moonwell DAO on fair compensation for all stakers. *Note: This issue is specific to BaseMoonwell and does not affect other deployments.*
