On January 29, 2024, Masa X (Twitter) account was compromised, and a fake airdrop post was made with a link to a fake app containing a wallet drainer.​ The Masa team promptly notified the community and regained control of the account.​ The incident was isolated to the Twitter account and did not impact other Masa systems.​ The team is investigating the extent of the impact and advising users to revoke wallet sessions and verify links before clicking.​ The Masa team remains committed to protecting and educating the community.​
