On January 29, 2024, Masa X (Twitter) account was compromised, and a fake airdrop post was made with a link to a fake app containing a wallet drainer. The Masa team promptly notified the community and regained control of the account. The incident was isolated to the Twitter account and did not impact other Masa systems. The team is investigating the extent of the impact and advising users to revoke wallet sessions and verify links before clicking. The Masa team remains committed to protecting and educating the community.
