ether.fi Cash users can borrow against tokenized stocks and metals on OP Mainnet

Optimism is highlighting ether.fi as an example of what gets built around the spend on its network. ether.fi Cash users can now borrow against more of their portfolio — including tokenized stocks and metals — through Aave V4 on OP Mainnet.

The credit backend behind 70K+ ether.fi Cash cardholders is moving to a dedicated Aave V4 instance on OP Mainnet, positioning Aave as the credit layer for crypto neobanks. Cardholders can borrow against PAXG, SPYx, WBTC, ETH, and ETHFI without selling, with more collateral types expected. The update coincides with the next generation of the ether.fi crypto neobank app, adding tokenized stocks and metals trading plus an integrated Aave market on Optimism.
