Ethena Pay launches on iOS, built exclusively on Avalanche
Ethena launched Ethena Pay, its "internet money neobank" built exclusively on Avalanche, now live for download on iOS. The app brings everyday banking onchain, letting users save, send, and spend USDe worldwide, with Avalanche powering the rails and the launch offering up to 6% yield and 10% cashback. Avalanche described Ethena as a "digital dollar giant," and the launch drew attention from the Avalanche and Cointelegraph accounts.
Ethena CEO @gdog97_ (Guy Young) explained the Avalanche-exclusive choice during a live appearance, describing Ethena Pay as "almost invisible infrastructure that sits in the background" — built for real-world use by people who don't want to think about blockchain. The Block subsequently framed the app as a consumer neobank coming directly from the dollar issuer itself rather than a traditional bank or fintech wrapper.
