HELLO Labs is transitioning DogeDash and Dash of the Dead from Web3 to traditional mobile apps.
Launched in 2021, DogeDash was designed to bring players into Web3 through gaming with NFTs and on-chain rewards. The games built a community and delivered entertainment, but HELLO Labs found that sustaining reward-heavy Web3 gaming became inefficient as adoption slowed and costs rose.
The pivot includes:
- Closing Web3 game elements
- Migrating to Web2 app stores
- Removing wallets and blockchain friction
- Targeting families and mainstream gamers
- Focusing on the Dash character brand
Revenue from the mobile games will flow to the $HELLO token economy. HELLO Labs plans to announce details about existing NFTs and future events next week. The company views this as preserving the DogeDash IP rather than letting it fade, while acknowledging the games' role in their Web3 history.
