Binance Supports Asset Recovery for Victims of XIRTAM Fraud
Binance froze the account and launched the recovery process for victims of the XIRTAM fraud. Users who participated in the token sale are eligible for a refund. Binance will also support asset recovery for secondary market participants and end the process for primary market participants.
In early May 2023, a project called “XIRTAM” stole a large sum from its investors and deposited around 1,909 ETH to a Binance account. Our team promptly froze the account, analyzed its activities, and launched the recovery process in September for over 1,750 victim addresses.
