Berachain's Request for Broposal (RFB) process has garnered over 250 submissions from dApp teams and communities. The deadline has been extended to October 16th to accommodate final applications.
The RFB Program comprises three components:
- Boyco
- Request for Application
- Request for Community
This initiative aims to:
- Resource early teams
- Provide insight into a new method for apps to seed mainnet liquidity

Bectra Upgrade Goes Live on Berachain: What It Means for Users
Berachain has activated Bectra, becoming the first L1 after Ethereum to implement the full Pectra execution-layer upgrade set. The upgrade brings three key improvements: - **For Users**: Smart wallet support enabling one-click rewards, batched actions, and gas coverage using $HONEY - **For Developers**: New tools for rollups, games, and social apps, plus built-in incentive mechanisms - **For Validators**: On-demand exits, improved fee logic, and streamlined operations The upgrade activates seven major EIPs including smart accounts (7702) and execution-layer withdrawals (7002).
